Napa Valley Historic Statue
Description
The Grape Crusher is an iconic sculpture located just south of Napa, depicting a historic figure crushing grapes, symbolizing Napa Valley’s winemaking heritage. Standing as the largest sculpture cast west of the Mississippi, it was created in 137 pieces by Shidoni Inc. of New Mexico and assembled on-site. Unveiled in May 1988 during Napa County’s sesquicentennial celebration, the artwork serves as both a cultural landmark and popular photo destination.
